Just in time for the Timberwolves season, a new restaurant is emerging on the 6th Street corridor along Target Center in downtown Minneapolis! Set to take over former Hubert’s, which recently closed its doors earlier this year, Cargo Food Authority is Chef/Owner Brian Ingram’s latest concept. It pays homage to St. Paul’s Seventh Street Truck Park of which Ingram was Chief Operations Officer (but no longer involved). Rather than food trucks, shipping containers line the walls of this eatery and each offers up mouthwatering cuisine varying from tacos and wings to pizza and Pan-Asian delights!
Ingram’s new venture, Cargo, showcases an industrial warehouse vibe inspired by the North Loop along with a hint of Berlin graffiti artistry.... In fact, he and his wife Sarah actually took a graffiti class in Berlin to hone their craft! And when you take a look at the cargo containers adorning this spot near Wrigley Field in Chicago, it will be easy for you to recognize Sarah’s unique artistic style. Adding on top of that Bus Stop nearby U.S Bank Stadium and the soon-to-be-opened restaurant next up is just another example of how far they’ve come since then!
The arena menu offers a variety of unique, enticing options for adults and children alike. For those with adventurous palates, there’s the “crazy” mango curry duck wings; or maybe you’d prefer to get your hands on one of these pizza-burrito hybrids called “pizza ritos”. And if that wasn’t enough, they also have an enormous foot-long egg roll, something which satisfies the particular cravings of Ingram who was always dying for more lumpia (Filipino spring rolls).
