For an additional cost, On-Site Storage Solutions “the Company” offers shipping container delivery as a courtesy to our Customers to help facilitate the purchase process. All delivery services are provided by independent third-party companies, with delivery timing typically ranging from 7-10 days after purchase. The cost of delivery via tilt-bed trailer is estimated at $5-$6 per mile, while flatbed delivery is estimated at $2-$3 per mile. Flatbed delivery requires the Customer to offload the container(s) from the trailer using a crane or large forklift. Customers can also choose to pick up their shipping container(s) to save on delivery costs. By using our delivery or pick-up services, the Customer agrees to hold harmless the Company, its employees, and agents from any and all liability associated with these services. Shipping container delivery is conducted using large trucks and trailers. These vehicles can weigh over 30,000 lbs and measure up to 70 feet in length. Responsibility for directing the delivery on-site is assigned to the Customer. The delivery route must be surveyed by the Customer. It must be ensured that the route is safe for delivery. The delivery site must also be inspected in advance. These steps are required to prevent any issues during delivery. The delivery equipment and container(s) must be warranted by the Customer to be safely deliverable without risk of the truck getting stuck, injury, or damage. If issues arise during delivery, all additional charges, such as dry run fees, detention time, or towing costs, will be the Customer’s responsibility. Liability for any losses due to delays will not be assumed by the Company.
If a delivery needs to be postponed or canceled by the Customer, no cancellation fees will be charged as long as a 48-hour notice is provided to the Company. Deliveries that are postponed or canceled with less than a 48-hour notice will be subject to a $300 cancellation fee. On-site Storage Solutions is only able to serve the United States and Canada. International shipping is not offered. Certified containers for international shipping can, however, be provided. Assistance with shipping containers internationally can be arranged by providing contact information for freight forwarding companies.
