The Seattle-based retailer chose Rose City to host one of their new store designs located on Northeast 122nd Avenue near the greenway, having previously tested this concept in Tukwila, Washington.
This store is the first to feature customized bike racks and landscaping for those who prefer walking or biking. Moreover, it offers a drive-through option too!... Although modularly constructed off-site, this Starbucks location is meant to stay permanent in its current spot – according to an official spokesperson from Starbucks.
Their design team worked diligently to craft a store aesthetic that reflects the unique culture of Portland. From their world-renowned bike lifestyle, temperate climate, and animal-friendly environment, to their commitment to sustainability and love for coffee – nothing was overlooked in creating this special installation.

Shipping Container Port Modernization in Portland
The Port of Portland was recently awarded several grants, amounting to a grand total of $42 million in infrastructure improvements for Oregon’s only marine container terminal – Terminal 6. Most notably, the Connect Oregon grant program administered by the Oregon Department of Transportation contributed an impressive $7.3 million to this endeavor; its mission is to support and sustain non-highway modes of transportation so that the state’s entire transportation system remains reliable, comprehensive, and efficient.
Enhancing the operational infrastructure to provide direct container services at T6 will be advantageous for Oregon and other West Coast exporters.... The Port is extremely grateful for the backing of federal and state representatives, as their assistance was pivotal, and remains so in securing a successful future for this Terminal.
