40′(L) x 20′(W) Shipping Container Building Shelter – 21 oz 610 gsm PVC Dark Gray Cover, No End Walls. Our container shelter is designed to provide a robust and versatile covered area that can be installed between two 40′ shipping containers. It is ideal for protecting vehicles, equipment, livestock, or creating temporary workspaces. Know more about this container canopy with these details:

  • Design & Dimension: Our container shelter is 40′ long, 20′ wide, and 6’7″ high. The interior space is completely pole-free, which provides 100% usable space underneath the shelter. It is designed to be installed between two standard 40′ shipping containers, leaving approximately 19.2′ of space in between for setup. The dark gray PVC cover is aesthetically pleasing and provides a modern, functional look for outdoor storage and farming applications.
  • Robust Construction & Waterproof Fabric: The cover is made of 21 Oz 610 gsm Polyvinyl Chloride fabric, which ensures durability and protection against harsh weather, UV protection, and fire. This heavy-duty fabric protects the interior space from rain, sun, and snow while maintaining structural integrity over time.
  • Frame: The frame consists of heavy-duty galvanized steel pipes, which withstand corrosion and are built to perform durably during outdoor conditions. The frame, in combination with 4 corner clamps and 18 base rail clamps, ensures that the shelter is securely attached to shipping containers and maintains stability even under wind and snow loads.
  • Note: End walls are not included, allowing for versatile open-sided use.
  • Technical Features: The container shelter has the following technical features:

    • Wind Rating: The maximum wind speed tolerance capacity of the container shelter is 70 mph (miles per hour).
    • Snow Rating: The maximum snow load it can withstand is 47 lbs/sq ft.
    • UV Protection (Years): It stays protected from UV rays for more than 10 years, maintaining strength and color without fading or weakening.
    • Frame Lifespan: The steel frame is rated to last a decade or more under normal outdoor conditions.
    • Tarp Lifespan: The tarp lifespan is 8–10 years. Under normal sunlight and typical weather conditions, it can last up to 10 years. In regions with very intense sunlight, the same 610 gsm PVC may last closer to about 8 years due to higher UV exposure. (Note: Actual service life depends on UV intensity, climate, and usage conditions.)
    • Ideal Temperature Range: This container shelter can withstand a temperature range of -22°F to 158°F, which makes it ideal for diverse weather conditions.
  • Wide Application: This container shelter is versatile and multi-functional, suitable for a variety of applications, including farming equipment storage, warehouses and workshops, livestock housing, vehicle or car lots, temporary offices and workspaces. It is specifically designed to fit between two 40′ shipping containers, making it a convenient solution for creating a large covered area without permanent construction. We also provide similar container shelters in different sizes and color variations.
  • Installation Process:

    1. Position the shelter cover between two 40′ shipping containers, leaving approximately 19.2′ of space.
    2. Secure the cover to the containers using the included corner and base rail clamps.
    3. Ensure the cover is evenly distributed over the frame for proper tension and stability.
    4. Adjust clamps and rails as necessary to secure the structure against wind and snow loads.
    5. The shelter is now ready for use; no poles are required inside, giving you full access to the interior.
  • Delivery & Setup Notes: Installation requires a forklift or dock equipment to unload the shelter from delivery trucks. Due to their large size, they can not be delivered to residential locations unless you have an on-site forklift or its equivalent. It cannot be installed on refrigerated containers. Follow the complete installation manual instructions for safe installation.

"We used Onsite Storage to purchase a second hand 20’ container. The communication was great from start to finish. I tried to find a cheaper one without success proving they are the cheapest I could find. Thank you to Mitch for all your help and advice and I would use these again and recommend them to anyone in the future."

"Excellent prices, easy to set up, great customer care throughout the delivery process. And the driver did an excellent job of getting the container where I needed it, which was a tight fit, but completed expertly. Container is huge and should my needs greatly. Thank you!"

"Prices are.great. But the communication is terrible. You call for delivery and they tell you to hang up and request it via email. Oh thanks wish I knew that... And because I do not own or operate your business, I don't know what to write ... Or not to write in this email. Because I did not know how they own or operate their business, they showed up with my unit with the door loaded in the wrong direction and the driver tried to tell me it wasn't his fault... No one called to ask where I wanted it or what direction I wanted the door to open to. Because we were moving and selling our home I had a lot encounters with the staff and the communication is just... Aweful. UPDATE Read below their response. This are bad business practices. You rely on the customer to think of all the intricate details? As a business you have the responsibility to assure the customer experiences excellent service, including guiding them through details that are very important, but they may miss. And by the way, the first time I had it delivered, the rep asked me where it should go and what side the door to open to. The subsequent times, I had to bring that up. The last time I forgot and look what happened. Either you argue or learn from mistakes and perhaps improve your company. It's up to you."
