After Becky Wolff and her husband Bill Echols experienced a devastating break-in at their Vinton County weekend camper, where the thieves even managed to steal the toilet, they gave up on their plan of constructing an A-frame cabin. In search of something more secure for storing valuable items, they ventured to a rail yard in Obetz and stumbled upon shipping containers as the perfect solution.... The Columbus pair had three vessels shipped to their lot that spanned 12 acres located near South Bloomingville. One measly one, spanning 20 feet was solely utilized as a storage shed while the other two were much more extravagant – they each measured 40 feet in length, 8 feet wide, and 9 1/2 ft tall so they could turn it into an opulent cabin retreat! Throughout the spring and summer, Echols left the containers on their lot while he created a diamond pier foundation from steel posts as an alternative to solid concrete.
