USED WIND AND WATERTIGHT
SHIPPING CONTAINERS

The cost of a storage container depends on several factors which include; the size of the container, the type of the container, the condition, and the location of the container. Wind and Watertight shipping containers are more affordable than the newer one-trip containers, making them an ideal and affordable option for storage needs.

What is a WWT Container / Wind and Watertight Shipping Container?

A Wind and Water Tight container (WWT) is a Grade-C conex box that no longer meets CSC, International Convention for Safe Containers, standards. These used containers are sold by container companies and shipping line operators that no longer deem them suitable for maritime use (i.e., shipping goods overseas). These used WWT containers typically end up in storage facilities or depots for repairs and are sold most often for storage purposes.

FEATURES

Used Conex’s Wind and Water tight shipping containers go through a multi-point inspection for rigorous wind and watertight criteria which guarantees that they will have no holes or leaks.

The majority of WWT conex boxes are used for storage and arrive in rough condition, which is why they’re called Grade-C shipping containers for sale.

This may include significant wear and tear, as well as signs of repairs, such as:

  • Surface Rust, Dents, Gouges, and Scratches
  • Welding Repairs
  • Paint that has lost its original color
  • Repairs and patching
  • Floor Markings and Delamination
  • Roof Pits and Bows with Minor Deficiencies
  • Interior Scratches
  • Doors may not open or swing effectively and might need some lubrication
